The Executive Committee is chaired by the President. It is tasked with ensuring the Board is operating smoothly and efficiently within the scope of VVCC’s mission and purpose. It acts as a judiciary body should the need arise, recommending Board and Committee Members or removal of Board and Committee Members should they be found to be non-compliant with any policies or procedures. It also acts as the fundraising body for the organization. Any action proposed will be recommended to the Board for a vote.
The Executive Committee is composed of the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
The Membership Committee works to build and service the membership, setting the Membership levels & pricing, bringing benefits to the membership through Business Sponsors, events and discounts, managing the onboarding and renewal communication with the membership and keeping the membership information updated.
The Events Committee organizes and manages the three major yearly events: Fall Picnic, Holiday Party and Spring Picnic and collaborates closely with the Membership Committee on other events.
The Mountain Bike Advocacy Committee works closely with the Red Rock Ranger District and Prescott Ranger District of the National Forest Service as well as city, county, state and federal entities and the local trail funds (SRRTF & VTF) to advocate for, expand and maintain trails.
The Road & Gravel Advocacy Committee works closely with city, county, state, federal and other local entities (i.e. BAC) to advocate for the safety and expansion of road & gravel riding.
The Media Committee provides the voice for the VVCC. The VVCC Website, Newsletter and Social Media accounts (Instagram and Facebook) are managed by the Media Committee.
The VVCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2003 (incorporated in March 2004) to promote road and mountain bike advocacy in, and around, the Verde Valley of Northern Arizona.
